What we collect
ClearExamPapers collects minimal technical and usage data. Specifically:
- Page views and downloads — we log the paper URL, the event type (view or download), your hashed IP address, your browser's user-agent string, and the referring URL. Hashes use a daily-rotating salt that we do not persist, so the logs cannot be used to track an individual across days.
- Aggregate analytics — we use self-hosted Umami, which records the page URL, country (at country level only), anonymized IP, browser, and OS. Umami does not set tracking cookies.
- Advertising — pages on this site load Google AdSense, which may set cookies in your browser to measure ad performance and (where you have consented in your Google account) personalize the ads you see. Google's use of advertising cookies is governed by the Google Ads policies; you can review and adjust your ad preferences at adssettings.google.com. We do not have access to the cookie values that AdSense sets.
What we do not collect
- We do not have user accounts, so we do not collect names, email addresses, or other directly identifying information — unless you voluntarily contact us by email, in which case we only store what you send us.
- We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for their own marketing. Google AdSense may share aggregated, non-personally-identifying ad-performance data with advertisers in line with their own policies; we never share the limited data we collect (page views, hashed IPs, downloads).
Your rights under PDPA
ClearExamPapers is operated in Singapore and subject to the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) . You can request access to or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by emailing contact@clearexampapers.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) if you believe we have mishandled your data.
