Copyright & Removal Requests
ClearExamPapers respects copyright. If you are a rights holder and believe a paper should not be hosted here, please email us at contact@clearexampapers.com with the details below. We review requests promptly and aim to respond within 7 days.
What to include in your request
- Paper URL(s) — the specific page(s) on our site that you are asking us to act on. If a whole class of papers is affected (e.g. all papers from a specific school), a description is fine but specific URLs help us act faster.
- Your name and role — for example: the rights holder, their authorised representative, a school administrator, a publisher's legal team. We are not asking for a formal affidavit, but we do need to know why you are in a position to make the request.
- Basis of the request — a brief description of why the paper should be removed (copyright, confidentiality, accuracy concerns, etc.).
- Contact information — an email address we can reply to.
How we handle requests
For plausible requests, we typically unpublish the paper within 24 hours of receiving the request, then follow up by email to confirm the action and, if relevant, ask any clarifying questions. For complex cases we may take longer.
We may decline to act on requests that appear to be malicious, abusive, or made in bad faith — for example, requests from parties with no plausible connection to the rights holder, or repeated requests for papers we have already reviewed and declined to remove.
Not a formal DMCA process
Singapore copyright law does not follow the US DMCA framework, so we do not use DMCA-specific language. The process above is how we handle all removal requests regardless of jurisdiction. If you require a more formal process (e.g. for legal documentation), please state that in your email.
